Connemara

Connemara

Cooley distillery (1989)

Connemara is a Scotch-style single malt whiskey with a strong peaty aroma. It has been made since 1987 at the Cooley distillery. It is distilled only twice. It is left to mature in the warehouses of the old Locke’s distillery. Connemara Cask Strength has been on the market since 1996. The alcohol content ranges from 59% to 61%. They are classed as Peated Single Malt, that is, peated single malt.
It is made by the traditional old Pot Still distillation method (repeated slow distillation in copper stills – this method is used for distilling the best whiskies).
